does anyone else have a problem like this? my gear box is audibly clunky and makes a lot of noise when moving between gears. this car is my first MT, so i dont know if this is normal or not...

i do know that the gear box and clutch on our cars are notoriously awful in design, but is this clunking and clanking im hearing normal? or should i have it looked at...

any help will be appreciated here. and now, im off to adjust the clutch seeing as how it has to be all the way to the floor to move between gears.

 

Is it a dull clunking noise or a grinding noise? I had a grinding in 3rd, 5th and 6th when I test drove my '03. They replaced the tranny before I bought seeing as it was under warranty.

 

What's the mileage on that tranny? When was it's most recent service?
