I think this is more of a gimmick than anything else.... it may help some but not much.
When an engine is first started it is most likely relatively cool. The tolerances between bearings and crank, cam, pistons, cylinders etc are higher than a hot running engine.
First start of the day is no major deal... when the engine heats up and tolerances close it's no biggie cause oil is flowing by then.

Agreed, its more of a gimick, plus, think of it this way, if 200 dollars could prolong engine longevity by 40-60% (as stated), wouldnt manufactureres recognize this?
