From closer inspection of the Red versus Green, we have a PEAK horsepower gain of roughly 7hp at 6200. At 5200 rpms, we have a gain of over ~12 hp and very strong torque gains over stock all the way to redline.....

i must emphasis again, this is just with the ECU modification alone (the ypipe and test pipes were removed and changed back to stock...)

Another thing that I see in the chart that is interesting is that the power band is alot more snoother with the ECU upgrade than at stock. The more jerky or wavey lines you see in a dyno chart shows how the car is not programed to it's full potential.

is this a piggyback or stock ECU programming, also what curves are you changing? just upping the timing and leaning out the fuel?

price and availability would be great!

So lets say I have my ecu programmed by TechnoSquare (and I love it) and then I have to take my car in for some sort of engine repair warranty work. Can it be switched back to "original form" so the shop has no idea I changed it and then can I change it back to the "fixed" version after the shop visit?

After reading all this it seems that it will not be possible without a couple of return visits to TechnoSquare. One to put it back to original form and another to get it back to the fixed version. I am in san diego so they are only a couple hours from me but what about people all over the country? I am definitely hoping for some sort of easy way to convert back and forth (when required for warranty work) from stock form to the "fixed" form of an ECU.

Possible?

you can have the ECU reprogrammed back to stock.. thats possible..

but constantly going in and changing it. now that will be time consuming, because that's taking time away from programming new customers.. so. i'll ask them about it... but the dealer will not know that the ecu has been changed. we do not leave a "tag" on the diagnostics readout of the consult like JWT does..

Not that they would, but they could look in the program and see that some of the variables have been changed, could they not? Not that I really care though.

I don't want to go through all of this thread to find the answer to this question. The engine will still pass california emmisions with this flashed chip, right?

I understand this and do not think it would be necessary except for once in a blue moon type of warranty repair work on the engine that would require ecu diagnostics. I paid extra for the extended warranty and would hate to see it go wayside because they found out that I modified the ECU. I also understand there would probably be some sort of "small" fee to do this re-setting of the ECU service.

BTW - Thanks for the response.

I'm coming in from KC to San Diego next week so I could easily next day my ECU for testing/reprogramming. I am going with the Injen Exhaust/CAI and JUN Flywheel and I'll do a dyno first thing when I get back so you'll have some data on results. Let me know if your interested and I'll get the ECU ready for Monday.

Hey Cheston!

First Off, Thanks for all your posts and hardwork for the Z community!

second: a question.... Assume we have a Z whose only mod is the TS ECU. I saw from the Dyno, there are some performance gains.

But.. How about gas milage? Better or worse? I am assuming that since everyone is so concerned with power they have forgotten to ask about this

Lightbulb I'm way behind.

Cheston I noticed you changed your AV do you work for them?

What was the final results and price for an Auto modded and is everything negated due to CAN as was the big initial controversy? I was just reading some links in your sig in one of your replies to me and found this,

I'm afraid I will have to call BS! I can't believe no-one else noticed this...
Look at the RPM at which green TQ and HP intersect at...

HP is a product of TQ so at 5250rpm HP = TQ. Right?

Unless I am missing something here...If so feel free to flame...

They are equal at 5250. Look at the torque and horspower amounts at that rpm. The scales for hp and torque are different, thats why the lines dont physically intersect there.
