Thumbs up TechnoSquare ECU DynoJet Results

Hello Guys!
well, here are some DynoJet Graphs that i promised a while back... these are DYNO JET-brand dynos, which often companies take as the 'baseline' measurements...

First graph shown here is a BONE STOCK Track 350z (i.e. Stock Cats, Stock Ypipe, Stock Airbox, Stock Exhaust) in the color RED and then with ONLY the ECU modification in GREEN...

From closer inspection of the Red versus Green, we have a PEAK horsepower gain of roughly 7hp at 6200. At 5200 rpms, we have a gain of over ~12 hp and very strong torque gains over stock all the way to redline.....

i must emphasis again, this is just with the ECU modification alone (the ypipe and test pipes were removed and changed back to stock...)

This graph will show the differences in just adding a simple velocity-stacked intake (similar to the JWT pop charger) that we made in house as a test..

RED is the 350z Track with ONLY the ECU as the modification, and the GREEN line is with ECU AND Intake.

From closer inspection of the Red versus Green, we have a PEAK horsepower gain of roughly 2hp at 6250. and a gradual gain throughout... but a moderate torque curve throughout as well..

Time ran out at the dyno, and we will pull again with the Test Pipes and Ypipes as addons...

Since my car is on bricks now, can I send you my ECU for reprogramming? I don't anticipate getting my car back until about mid June.

Thumbs up

Cheston,
Thanks for the graphs and info! The additional torque looks great...spread everywhere. The torque gains towards the top end are particularly impressive...looks like 20lbs difference at some points from 5k-6k rpms! That will make a big difference on the top end accel. I can't wait to see what happens with the other mods.
I have some questions though.
1. I saw that you mentioned test pipes and Y pipes, but no mention of exhaust. Will you be testing an exhaust(s)? Will dyno runs be done with each of the mods in isolation? The reason I ask is this: I think most people are not averse to adding a Y pipe and exhuast, but a lot of people probably won't get rid of the cats...want to stay legal. If at all possible, please do runs with the aftermarket exhaust and Y Pipe, but with stock cats (or high flow).
2. I've seen some of your posts before, but can you please remind what the cost of this item is.

Thanks for the great info!!!

This is the main reason I want to reprogram my ecu.. just to raise the rev limiter....this will give us little more power after shifting pass 6600rpm..

I doubt it'd raise the redline.. but I could be wrong..

remember if you need a 6spd to test it out on, I'm up for it

No, I think they mean the damn feul cutoff. I HATE that thing...alot of times under WOT I'll have my hand on the stick about to change gears when BAM, ****ing engine shuts down. That, combined with the hard 2nd syncros makes redlining this engine more of a chore. Raising the fuel cutoff will help alot.

Im really exited about this ECU....

But wouldn't this ECU lean things out too much if you had a supercharger?

Also whats the deal with this seting back to stock option you mentioned in your research ecu post? Is this real and confirmed? If I do any mods will it really go back to stock power after awhile without this ecu????

So how long will it take to ship and have the ECU returned from technosquare? I mean this has to be planned out because the car wil be out of commision for a few days...right? Also, will there be any discounts at the begining? (group buys)

J Ritt:

We tested the system with a prototype magnaflow and we thought the stock exhaust was very good already... also the stock exhaust was quietest...

we will be testing with an exhaust in the future.. and the Injen Intake...

Next up is Boost... because i will be taking over the Turbo Build for Power Enterprise (again..)...because RBmotoring declined to do it..

Cheston- When is TechnoSquare going to start offering the upgrade- and any idea on the cost? I'm planning a trip down to SoCal in the next week or two.

Would you happen to know if the G35Coupes have the same ECU as the 350Z?? That would be really good to know!! ANd if this is a moderately priced mod (since there are no physical changes, just programming), I could see A LOT of people going for it.

CB,

I know you have probably answered this question before, but do you know if this will be able to be used in a G35 Coupe? I am assuming this and maybe the exhaust is where the 7 hp difference is between the cars?
