Default Cd009

I searched but to my suprise, couldn't find the answer.

So I've already established that I have a 04.5 Z, is there a way I can tell if my car has the updated CD009 transmission?

I read somewhere that you can look at the code on the transmission. What do I look for that tells me it is, or is not the CD009? Does it have CD009 in the code?

Can the tranny code be seen without lifting the car, or is there another way to know?

Thanks all!

I've only seen the code on mine on the passenger side of the tranny. White laser etched sticker that says CD0009. I think there may be a rivetted tag on there somewhere that says the same thing.

is it visible without lifting the car? How about jacking the right front corner of the car?

Maybe if you tied a mirror to a broomstick and looked under the car... I dunno....

I'm under my car a lot.

You would have a cCd009 only if it was put in after delivery..not original manufacture install

from previous threads I was under the impression that the CD009 was put in some of the 2004.5s, but not all.

not correct?

Gothchick, you must be lucky enough to have access to a lift. I still need to figure out where the jack points are etc for this car so I can use some jack stands.

I have a friend with an '05 and he had the CD008, he bought his around late summer of '05.

I bought my '05 in November of '05 and I have a CD009 from the factory.

That would be the logical assumption but you never really know for sure. I'd just try the mirror trick or just jack up the car.
