Default problems on crank pulley?

anyone has problems on ur crank pulley underdrive?

I wonder if the squeel is due to the belt and not the pulley itself. The stock belts have this fuzzy stuff on the one side and me thinks this helps quiet squeel. I don't believe the Gates belt has this layer and usually get squeely after 10k miles.

I wonder if those with the stock size ur pulley and stock belt also get squeel.

What kind of other problems other than squeel? Has anyone actually had their crank pulley detach itself and cause engien damage, or are the problems solely with nvh and squeels?

the squeal is due to the belts not being tightend properly - nothing more, nothing less

i dunno, ive had mine tightened so tight there was zero give and they still squealed for the first 5 minutes of driving.

I could've sworn is was related to the seal rubbing on the pulley neck... but I wouldn't know better than Adam.

I've never had any issue using Gates and Goodyear belts - sometimes you get belts that have been sitting around for awhile and get a bit too 'dry', but so long as the belts are fresh and tightened to spec, you won't have any issues. I know it can be an annoying problem- Kwame bugged the **** out of me for a few days because he couldn't get rid of the squeak once, but once he finally listed to me ( ) he was all good. I find that you'll typically get about 20k-30k out of a set of belts, then its time for new ones

does anyone know what are the stuffs should be in a UR underdriven crank pulley? 2 belts and pulley, anything else?
