It is recommended to do 500 miles of city driving. This way you get lots of starts, stops, and complete shift changes. This allows the clutch to mate to the flywheel surface. If you do high RPM shifts or drop the clutch during this time the clutch will glaze the flywheel surface which will make it slick and it will slip. Also the more shifts the better during the break in so you don't really want to make a 500 mile road trip with most of it on the highway with little to no shifting.

Hope that helps
