im thinking about forged rods and pistons. i saw a couple on here. they set the compression at 8.3:1 versus the stock 10.3:1. and since i want to go turbo im hopeing this will let me run around 16 lbs of boost without a problem.

I plan on changing the internals to something a little more boost friendly whne i go FI. Some info for anyone else who is interested you can get a set of pistons and valves made custom by any good machine shop for less than half the cost of big name kits. I plan on getting mine done custom.

Wow how many people are boosting at the stock 10.3:1? Does anyone know what brand the stock pistons/rings are? Anybody have pictures? That is a pretty high compression but if they are strong then I would just keep them, unless you planning on hitting some high boost.

only people boosting at the moment are the ones with SCs on thier cars and i believe there is only a hand full of them if that. to date no one has done internals to my knowledge.
