Warranty Direct Transmission Coverage
Im going to purchase a 04z and buy an extended warranty from warranty direct. This is what is quoted in the contract and was wondering if this covers the transmission problem that the 03-04s seem to have:
This is MajorCare Protection
"Transmission (Automatic or Standard)
All internal parts; torque converter; vacuum modulator; mounts; covers, pans and cases are covered if damaged by the Failure of an internally lubricated moving part.
Note: No Coverage is afforded for clutch assembly; pressure plate; flywheel; throwout bearing; worn synchronizers or cables."
This is SecureCare Protection
This one says it coveres everything excepts this part of the transmission:
"MANUAL TRANSMISSION CLUTCH ASSEMBLY; FRICTION CLUTCH DISC AND PRESSURE PLATE; THROW OUT BEARING; MANUAL AND HYDRAULIC LINKAGES"
Im wondering if I should just purchase the cheaper one which is the MajorCare Protection because Im pretty much just buying it in case my transmission goes bad.

How many miles are on your Z? I have an 03 and ran into a problem with 2nd gear. I'm getting the tranny replaced and it's being covered under the Nissan powertrain warranty. I know that doesn't answer your question regarding Warranty Direct extended coverage but at least if you're way under 60k miles you'll have some piece of mind for next couple of years.
