Default noobish question

So I've been thinking about buying a second engine to do build up for FI.

My question is, since I have a 2006 RevUp, would there be any problem with putting in a 2004 non-RevUp?

I don't think there would be but I wanted to see what other people thought.

That's what I was thinking. Wasn't sure if I could just plug and play because of the later ECU.

The biggest difference is your revup has variable exhaust timing. The non-rev up doesn't. Performance-wise, they're about the same though.

So if I put rev-up heads on a non-revup motor, would that work?

Yeah, if you had the ecu and harness to go with it. The bottom ends are pretty close to being the same I believe.

Thanks you're the best

I am looking for a second motor to build over next year and it seems harder to track down RevUps. 03-04 motors are a dime a dozen though.
