Default What does Nissan Warranty Cover

Someone said it might not cover the clutch or transmission.

I just got a 5 year/100 000 mile warranty for 1650 on my 07 350z base. I have less than 1000 miles on the car.

Was it a waste of money?

I thought it would cover the whole car. They said bumper to bumper.

I purchased a 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty also, called Security+Plus Vehicle Protection Plan (this is from Nissan). They mailed me a service agreement which states under the "This Agreement Covers" section, "Transmission case(s) and all internal parts including the torque converter, vacuum modulator, electric control units, oil pain, oil cooler, transmission mounts, transfer case and all internal parts, transfer control unit, seals and gaskets, clutch master cylinder, operating cylinder and booster, and shiftlock system".

Under the "What is Not Covered" section it states, "clutch disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing". I believe this is consistent with the factory warranty. You'll probably receive a similar service agreement in the mail. I paid the same as you, and it was worth the price to me.

Yea, complete waste of money!!!

In 36k miles, you will want to turbo by then, I say return it. Trust me, that's what happened to me.

The warranty covers what the warranty says that it covers.

This is a extended warranty? Never bought one and never will.

Warranties do not cover wear and tear items such as tires, clutches, and brakes.

The '07 has a clutch issue where it will leak fluid and lose pressure. This is a factory defect and is being repaired under warranty for many members.
