Default Nissan just installed 3rd motor, throwing code P0441 & P0445. Help!

Alright, so my car has been suffering from oil consumption. I have been working with a good mod friendly dealership (West Covina Nissan). I am on my third motor this time and have put about 100 miles on it. Yesterday I got a CEL and ran to autozone to check it. I had two of the P0441 and one P0445. Both codes talk about the EVAP canister and one said something about "leak (large)". Called my service advisor and he informed me that I can bring it in but he would have to write an estimate because their new service manager requires them to write one for any modified car throwing emission codes. Anyways, if it has nothing to do with my mods (I,TP, Y Pipe, Axle Back) then they will cover it. The mods have been on since my very first motor. Do you think the codes have something to do with the install?

these codes are for the evap system. there is a harness of rubber and plastic hoses around the gas tank. most likely one has cracked or the cannister has a leak. your mods should not effect it.

Three strikes are you are out.

Your car has spent a lot of down time. Do you think that its time to contact a Lemon Law attorney?

I have contacted NNA and the BBB. NNA offered another revised motor which is now in the car. This is their last chance. Going to the dealership tomorrow.

As stated above these codes pertain to the EVAP system and would very unlikely be cause by the test pipe. Some part of the EVAP system was probably damaged or not reconnected when the engine was removed/installed.

That was my thought. We get cars in all the time with evap gross leak codes caused by the gas cap being loose.
