I'm really suprised this swap was not done before the RB swap.. given the aftermarket support for the 2jz

Damn, that looks crazy, OP is that your car?

For everyone complaining about the powerband, though... Compare a 2J dyno to some of the newer big power 350z ST kits and you might see it's not as bad as you think. At least the 2J can rev to 1000+ rpms more than the VQ to take advantage of some of that top end power.

Thanks guys. I will be updating this thread soon as we have gotten a lot of work done since. I actually posted in this forum a while back in this section. It is 4 pages back I believe.

BTW.. A RB has been done. I wired a 350Z oustide of Kissimme Florida.. It had a RB26.

are u implying that supra's cant handle? if so, ur painly mistakened, they may not handle as good as z's (but a z with a 2jz will pretty much even things out), but they are deffinately up there near the top as far as handling goes

I love the 2JZ. I can't wait to see how this turns out. I've already seen a 2JZ in a Z32, and it's a nice build. Hope this is just as impressive.

Implying? No...
I've been around enough non-turbo/ turbo 2JZ Supras to know they can handle pretty well for their size.

Just factoring in weight diff, size and chasis rigidity.

Awesome hopefully we start seeing more and more of these, this for me would be the choise before going FI on the VQ, if you can handle the install and custom fabrication yourself it would be way cheaper than a $10K turbo setup for the VQ, I think.

Craig i think that is a guy out of Miami's car. He had a greddy tt before and he sold all his parts and what not to do a swap that he wouldn't release details of.

Here is the thread prior to the swap
