I am installing a innovate wideband gauge kit in my car and was wonder where other wired the ac power lines in the car. Is there somewhere to get a switched power line in the engine compartment for the wideband controller so I do not have to run all of the wiring inside the car ? Thanks in advance for the help !

 

You want to tap the power inside the engine bay?

 

Well the lc-1 needs a constant power ( i can get from the battery) then I need a switched ignition power source for the other connection. I would like it to be in the engine bay so I do not have to run another wire inside the cabin and to keep cable running to a minimum.

You could tap into the constant and switched power sources that the stereo pulls from..that way you don't have to pass wire through the firewall to directly access the battery. There are other switched sources as well.. cig lighter I think...mind is going blank though- its late.
