Default Will Changing Transmission Fluid Void Warranty?

I was just wondering if anyone knew the answer to this:

If I changed the transmission fluid in my 04 350Z (manual transmission) would it void the 5-year/60,000 powertrain warranty?

I just bought this 04 Touring with 13k miles on it and the transmission is the worst I've ever driven. Very notchy. I also get a 2nd gear grind half the times I shift at low speeds.

However, the problem is not bad enough yet where the dealer would actually consider something wrong and replace the transmission under warranty.

I've read a few threads where people changed their stock MTF with a Redline MTL / MT-90 mix and experienced positive results.

If I change the fluid to the Redline stuff will that void my warranty?

I have a feeling I'll be bringing the car to the dealer anyway sometime in the future for a new trans but I'd like to ease the pain for now by trying whatever I can to smoothen out the shifting.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

No, it won't. You'll be fine.

Well, that's as long as you don't put something in that doesn't belong.

Never! Now that would void a warranty!

Oh, and don't forget to make sure your blinker fluid doesn't leak out either!

Blinker fluid doesn't have to be changed out, just need to rotate the blinker fluid and use 50 weight Nismo fluid.

Changing tranny fluid is better for the tranny.

Yes. They have a sensor mounted to the inside of the housing. All they have to do is plug into the computer and check the readings.

If you reset your ecu three times, it will clear the readings. Then they'll have to go by what you tell them.

transmission is still covered, but it voids your warranty on the fluid and fluid only

I thought that was only on the NISMO 350Z.

If you use anything other than what Infiniti/Nissan specifies (Genuine Nissan Fluid) then yes it will where I'm at. . .

Just go with the OEM tranny fluid. You only have to replace it every 30k miles.
