unusual clutch issue
Searched. Here is what is going on. The clutch is not slipping as a worn clutch would nor does it slip under alot of load in 5 th gear. It jerks the car back and forth as i slip it out in first gear the whole car judders in a way as if i have a warped flywheel any idea on what is going on. so as i slip the clutch to engage into first the car begins shaking alot as if the clucth slips than catches hard than slips again followd by a rough catch on the flywheel (continually) until im engaged.
Sounds like I get the same problem. I have the fidanza 4.3 clutch kit with their aluminum flywheel. I noticed that it was normal for me. Its not the clutch and all that was making the car jerk. It was more me and trying to get use to it. Its completely different than stock. There was a trick of finding the correct way of releasing the clutch. Once I figured that out, I have not had any issues. Also, I would hear a noise like a grinding sound. Not like a grinding of gear, but a rubbing grind. I talked to the peeps about it, and they said that was a normal sound.
i understand what you are all saying but i have stock everything and i ave been driving it like that for 20 thousand miles and now it has started to act up and while the car is jerking the clutch chatters just like at idle but louder.
lol well that narrows it down. as jaspen said its it under warranty. how many miles are on the car. im not a expert but i would think if it was warped you would notice it all the time not just on take offs. hopefully someone else will chime in and help you out a little better. but if it is under warranty i would take it to the stealership and see what they say.
