Default 2006 350ZR owner with oil question

I'm a new 350 ZR owner after many years of lusting after them. Still have my beloved 280z as a perpetual project. My first question as a forum member relates to the oil consumption issue with my MT . I searched the threads and couldn't find whether the heavy oil consumption was for all MT Rev-ups, or whether this was limited to some build dates or other factor. I just got the car with 4000 miles on it last month and only drove it briefly before storing for the winter, so I can't start the measurement process until the spring.
I've noticed that not all owners have the problem, but no explanation about which cars may be victims.
Other than the possible engine replacement, I am thrilled with the car. Very sophisticated for the $, and rediculously fast for someone used to a 280z.
Bridgestones seem a little greasy in the cool weather, but others seem to have the same experience. Anyway, I've enjoyed reading many posts, even the occasional pissing match. Thanks for the help.

Can't help you with your question (I'd recommend doing a couple of searches), but I wanted to say "welcome." And: remember that the Bridgestones are SUMMER tires.
