Default P1615 Help!!!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So guys remember i was getting the code P1615. Well i figured out what it means. I actually found the Nissan Anti Theft Book online for our car.

P1615- Difference of Key
NATS MALFUNCTION P1615- BCM can recieve the key ID signal but the result of ID verification between key ID and BCM is NG.

Well basically i went and bought a key and had courtesy nissan program the key. Well its still throwing the code. Courtesy and Grubbs nissan told me i would have to pay a diagnostics fee of $101 to get this problem fixed. Does anyone have a Consult II that they can use or know anyone in grubbs nissan that might be able to help. I think its rediculous when I can figure whats wrong with the car and have the instructions to fix it but dont have the tools. So I got to pay nissan. Can anyone please Help!!!! I will pay..i just didnt wanna pay $101

**update***

called nissan and talked to them. Well after reading the books it could be my BCM going out. TSB NTB02-071B also has something about the NATS..Well i talked to nissan. they charge for diagnostics then repair so if i have to replace the bcm then it will cost me $581. for install..

My Question can i replace the BCM or is this something the dealer must do.

Second question anyone know where to get a 03' 350z BCM..there are no 350z in a junkyard in the metroplex

Ben

Why wouldn't you pay the diagnostic fee and let them try to fix it first, before spending over $500 on a new BCM.

Consult II cost $5,500 why would you expect free labor or free use of tools?

You should easily be able to swap the BCM... Like in a matter of ten minutes... The problem is that somebody will need to flash it to recognize your keys, ecu, and any other sub system it talks too. I think that'll take a Consult II. Although you might check out Cipher to see if it has that capability...

The BCM is easy to switch physically, but you need a consult to make everything work correctly
