my 350 is not under warranty anymore and i found a #cd008 tranny for $300. im wondering if this is the improved tranny and how much it will cost me for a direct swap if i take it to the shop. thanks

 

I came across an 008 tranny and people have told me that theirs have failed as well and to get the 009 one.

If you take it to a shop, it will cost around 250-300.

 

I have a 009 and the 6th gear synchro failed.

 

damn, that sucks to hear. I was about to dish out 2k for a brand new 009 tranny since i can't find a used one.

 

yeah, it twas my third.

first had the 1st and 5th go - stock 03
second had the 2nd
third has 6th CD009

I honestly think it's related to the clutch somehow and not a transmission problem. but I have zero proof.

 

well anyone knows how much is tranny swap in san diego??? also i get some codes like p0300 which is random misfire. p1614 p1615 which are both BCM related and p1564 cuz i had the steering wheel swapped before and then put the stock one back.
