Great write up, I did the 3.5 swap last summer and love it, I can feel the difference with the 3.5 and also see the difference in gas milage, I was going to go 3.9 but after feeling the the 3.5 I feel the 3.7 would be best for me.
This is my daily driver and I wouldnt see the 3.9 being as streetable as you say. I do know a fellow member with the 3.9 in his G, perhaps I can persuade
him to let me drive it so I can evaluate it for myself.

I wouldn't go shorter than 3.917 for the FD on the 5AT. It has a shorter top gear in 5th than the 6th gear in the 6MT. 3.917 on the 5AT is about the same as 4.083 on the 6MT. I'm ok with spinning almost 3500 rpm at 80 mph, but I wouldn't want it higher than that. Its almost 3900 rpm at 90 mph and that's higher than I'd want to run the engine for sustained periods for anything other than a track day.
I've had the 3.917 on my 5AT for almost 2 years now. Love it and its great for NA and most CSC setups. Roots or turbo, stick with the 3.538 or 3.357.
I have some ideas on how to bring back CC, but I'll have to wait until I have some extra resources available to me to try it out. Cruise control doesn't work because of a non-MIL transmission code being thrown.

Sounds like its going to be a good mod to do. Looks like I got something to buy and make my 5AT more enjoyable.
Has anybody tried Central 20's 3.9 FD compare to 350EVO's because its a big price difference? 350-Tech has a write-up about them and it seems central 20 is great quality.

Were can i get the 3.9 gears ??? Am really interested in this mod. I just recently installed the Transgo kit on my Tranny and it sounds like this mod would be the next up on the list.
