Cusco Lsd Help
Can somebody post how to change a cusco rs from 2 way to 1.5 way and set the lock from 80% to 60%. My instructions are in Japanese!! Finally, how noisey is this LSD. Thanks for any help.
to adjust from 2 way to 1.5 requires you the turn the "cam" on the one side of the diff 45 degrees...there is a diagram in the instructions
to change it from 100% to 80% or 60% lock up requires restacking the clutch disk plates inside the diff (diff has to come apart). Again there is a diagram on page 3 or 4 of the booklet that shows you the disk orientation for each setup.

The diff consists of multiple clutch plates on either side of pressure rings. Half of the plates have 'teeth' protruding out from the outer edge of the plate AND have a smooth inner diameter (this type will be call 'outside'). The other half of the clutch plates have a smooth disc-like outer edge but have 'teeth' on the inside diameter (this type will be called 'inside').
From the factory, the diff comes configured as 100%. To confirm the setup, when you open up the diff you will see that on both sides of the pressure rings that the plates are stacked in an alternating manner of inside, outside, inside, outside, etc.
To convert it to 60% you need to reconfigure the plate staking combination. From the pressure rings out: 2 inside, 2 outside, 2 inside, 2 outside.
Having said that, when looking at the diagram it seems like there's only 7 plates per side so the last outer plates would be a single 'outside', not double.

cusco RS LSD
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hey there...
just have installed a cusco RS LSD in my s14 and need some operators mahjual/diagram how to stack the plates or make it 1.5way from 2way
it can be changed from 2ways to 1.5ways and the lockup can be changed from 100% to like 75% og less like 50% but i dont know how
here is a pictures of a cusco and i looks like that, and it is the RS because of the springs...
here on the picture it seems to be that my cusco is in "2way mode" because the metal thing is ind that square
http://www.bilgalleri.dk/html/...36898
but there where i seems to be the 1.5way option there is no metal thing, so i schould could be switch into 1.5 way
http://images.bilgalleri.dk/up...l.jpg
on a nother HP i found this:
...#The Cusco is also adjustable from 1.5 way to 2 way by repositioning the cam inside the diff...its not a hard job to do#....
can it be right?!?
PS. sry for my english im from denmark hehe
