Layout doesn't matter. The only reason duals tend to give higher peak gains, is due to 2 60mm pipes or 2 70mm pipes being able to flow higher than a single 76.3mm(3inch) pipe. That doesn't really mean much, a well designed stock style exhaust layout, or a well designed single exit, can make just as much power as a dual and vice versa.

Faster and harder shifts...a must for the 5AT. SGP and GTM have them and they cost between 800-1,000 dollars. Also check with Sharif from Forged Performance.

For those of you with 5AT's go to the vid section and pull up "Daniels STS rear mount turbo" vid and you'll see an upgraded VB in action.

Sorry OP for going OT.....

i have watched that vid, but what is really making the car shift faster...the turbo or the VB upgrade? I would think the VB upgrade is something you would notice driving the car more than listening to it drive by you. just my $0.02

The turbo has nothing to do with the tranny shifting faster, that would be the VB that makes it shift faster. If you have ever been in a turboed car without a VB upgrade and then went in one with a VB upgrade then you would be able to watch the vid and say that guy has an upgraded VB...trust me

ah..ok. I just assumed that since the turbo would make the car accelerate faster, then it would shift faster (faster climb in speed=faster shift was my justification, ill justified i guess).

so it makes shifts faster/more crisp. any other benefits?

Faster and crisper shifts which will also keep the turbos in boost, as opposed to the 6MT that when you shift in boost the boost is reduced, unless you are Alberto of course

Its noticalbe when you add a VB NA. Its much more noticable with boost. I had a stock VB in for my motor breakin and put the SGP VB back in on Friday. With the stock VB I would hit the revlimiter on the 2-3 shift, with the SGP it bangs quick much quicker and firmer! Highly recomanded!!!

It was a long time ago when I put the VB and TC in,but IIRC it knocked 2-3 tenths off my 1/4 mile time. Most of that was from the TC

Forged stopped doing them cause they had a big problem with one but it is essentially the same as sgp,s i think.Since i have the sh!tty borla with blown out cat convertor material in it all i got was 351rwhp and 392rwt on a auto on a dynodynamics.
My tuner said to get rid of the restrictive borla and put in a true dual and there is easily 40-50 more rwhp in it.
