This is a little off topic, but what kind of price could you get me on a Base model? Any color but brickyard and pikes peak. PM me with that info.

As for the Nismo stuff, I am interested in the headers, oil cooler, and titanium shift ****. Please let me know what you're pricing that stuff at. Thanks.

Heh, yeah. Well, could it be maybe because they're 6 months late, overpriced, and underperform ?

What products? Most of the hard Nismo parts were just released Monday. No one has tried the Headers, cams, suspension and other parts yet. From actualy playing with these parts and other Z33 parts from other companies, I know they work exceptionaly well giving a good balance between performance and streetabilty. In most cases, the Nismo parts have better performance dispight there street use intentions, the exhausts being a prime example.

Nismo engine stuff has varifed dyno gains and the suspension has test verified gains.

Suspension is probably the exception.

Take a look at the recent thread about the Nismo flywheel, for instance. Or the overpriced AEM markup version of their CAI... or the overpriced exhaust...

My stupid Parts Dep doesn't know any info regarding Nismo parts. You're already getting parts and they won't even take any orders. When will more dealships be able to take orders for parts?

I did a quick search on Nismo exhaust and Nismo suspension and looked back as far as april and didnt see gobs of people complaining about the performance of these two parts, in fact I didnt see any bad posts pertaining to performance. As far as the flywheel, Nismo parts are designed to give good performance without being irritating or intrusive. Of course the JWT flywheel is going to perform better but it whill have greater NVH. Likewise a JIC or Tien suspension will have more flexabitly for a track racer or autocrosser and more ultimate performance potential, but it will ride harsher and have worse NVH.

Nismo is not designed for that sort of customer. Nismo stuff is designed to be the most performance posible from a package that is not annoying as a daily driver or on long trips. Nismo is basicaly a factory engineered performance package that is a step or two beyond stock. Its not racing stuff or national class street prepared autocross winning stuff. Its about uncompromised balanced streetable performance.

There is a considerable amount of engineering behind every S-Tuned Nismo part to assure this and to assure OEM like reliabilty, way more than you would get with any aftermarket part. When you install a Nismo part, there is absolutly no messing around, it fits perfectly. If you build cars, then you have proably spent your fair share of time cussing thing that didnt fit without messing around. You wont have that with Nismo stuff.

If you price an AEM intake with the optional bypass valve, I mean the non-discounted price MSRP from AEM price, it is about the same as a non-discounted Nismo part which comes with the bypass as standard. Once Nismo has been sold for a while, I am sure that volume dealers will probably start to discount Nismo parts as well. In the SE-R world there are already group deal starting for many parts.

I am fairly confident that an all Nismo equipped Z33 with cams, headers, exhaust, air intake flywheel and limited slip will run away from any currently equipped NA aftermarket Z33 with just bolt ons.

Do you have any performance numbers for this combination?
