Use the search function...that's what it is there for.

Mr. 350ztt thanks for being so..... helpful.. im not the best with comps and i was not able to come up wiht anything relevant useing the search function. forums are created so people can come and get legit questions answered by helpful people not to get Bit**ed at for asking a simple question. thank you BigShow i will check out the manufacturer web sites.

It's not that the questions are bad, or dumb, but that they're very hard to answer. I'm not sure how I found out what they were as it was so many years ago and much of it is acquired in passing as the developments of new devices, or terms, arise.

That said -- there are certainly ways.

The mfgr. sites are pretty good because you can sort of infer what the device does from their claims for it.

The board is real good, if y ou can ask a specific question. LIke all boards, much of the information is BS, and y ou want to avoid buying just because a bunch of people get excited, or turned off as well. But there are many people here who will answer the most basic question, if you make it specific.

Most of your questions are on vocabulary and I don't know of a performance glossary. (Just did a google and didn't come up with anything good.) But what does work is AskJeeves.com -- do you know it? -- I've used it to find out all sort of weird stuff, including finding out that 'new' terms (to me) like 'trail-braking' are the same thing I learned years ago as 'stall-braking.' I think if you ask there, you'll find four or five good answers to each question as it comes up.

Hope this helps. J
