Default Z1 Motorsports Clutch/Flywheel Kits

so im in the process of gettin new cluch and flywheel but want a average budget. an ACT setup, JWT setup, or even Clutchmaster setup will run me over $1,000. this kit comes with everything for 785 and i still can buy a OEM throw out bearing for under 800. i just would like some reviews on this clutch and flywheel to see if anyone ever used it and how it feels. any defects?

this is the link to the kit......

I dont know what your are looking at, no offense, they look identical minus the xtd logo.

Of course what I posted was only the clutch. You can find the jwt clutch and fw on ebay new for $800.

I think there was one reivew a while back about it on a g35. The guy was very pleased but I would worry about the life of an ebay clutch.

I would go with a more trusted name. Just my .02

this clutch is crap there are a couple of people including myself that had it only last 10-15,000 and wear out prematurly here in atlanta. By the way we got an avg. og 65,000 on our OEM clutchs.

GO with a Competition clutch.

If you're going FI we recommend using the 6 puck disc with our clutch kit. It's a little more aggressive but it's still very streetable and holds the power very well. The friction material on our standard street disc is the same material as used on other popular clutches, including some of the CC and JWT kits.

It's a little stiffer pedal than the OEM clutch and has a much higher clamping force pressure plate as well.

Your clutch was an exception, we've sold hundreds of those clutches and in fact the disc in our 350Z clutch kit is the same disc used in our Z32 TT clutch kit which has held up flawlessly in hundreds of cars many of which were making 450+ rwhp.

It's unfortunate that your clutch failed, however, to tell the full story the clutch was purchased in mid 2007 and the warranty period had expired. Our clutches carry a manufacturer's warranty of 12 months / 12,000 miles. Which is a pretty standard industry warranty for clutches, clutches are wear parts and are also subject to a lot of potential problems from installation as well. We sent the clutch to the manufacturer to have them test for any defects and everything was within spec. The pressure plate tested out for pressure and travel and the disc material was still bonded to the disc.

I would still stay clear of this clutch. There are more than one of these clutches that have failed. It was not just my car! Your company admited to having a bad batch of clutches leave your shop to me and a few others, but yet you did not inform anyone that purchased these clutchs that there could have be an issue with the products that we purchased after Z1 found out. You left it to us to find out clutch failed ealiy and then say we are all out of a warranty that was never published on the prducts paper work or on your website.
