I just replaced my oil pan and the oil pressure...
seems to be higher before I replaced it, The pressure would'nt go past 80 psi knowwhen I punch it or rev it at around 4000 rpm
s it goes all the way to 120 psi is that normal.
Please those of you who can help me out post your psi readings at different revs.
Thanks.

Well here's my story. I was showing off about 2 months ago, doing some doughnuts and burning out, which was fun. Then as I was taking off hit a curb that was not visible from where my seat is adjusted at. I tought i just hit the swaybar and tore tat plastic engine cover.
Well I take it to the dealer like 2 weeks ago to get the recalls checked and the tranny noise I'm getting. The dealer takes the engine cover off and tell me I have about $1000 dollars worth of damage and thats just in parts not including labor. So I check it out, and next thing you know I fell like this .
I see the swaybar scraped up, the oil pan with a big dent in it, the a frame, a link and supposedly a strut was messed up. to finish this story out labor for just the pan was going to be $115 for a 30 minute job. Thats all it took me.

Wow... Man I'm sorry dude.
My only suggestions, if you're using all OEM parts make sure EVERYTHING is hooked up properly. (Not that oil pans are THAT hard)... Make sure its sealed, etc.

Thanks for the reply evil350z, so far I've put about 150 miles since I did the swap and no leaks so I think I'm good, but can you tell me your psi readings at idle, at high speeds, downshifting, and when reving high. thanks .

The only thing that can affect a before & after pressure change is the Brand, viscosity & type of oil you have used compared to what you had in before.
A higher ambient temp would also lower the press ever so slightly at start up.
