Clutch Question?
Question? My pedal is stuck almost all the way down (pressed). If I pull it out (by hand) it pops out to the normal position. Also reverse does not want to go in, and is very hard to get into first gear. The car is barely drivable. Does anyone know what the problem is?
My 04 Z track has been well maintained (thanks to this forum) and it just reached 80k miles.....this is the first time it has given me a problem. I am hoping to get some second opinions before I take it in to the shop.
Thanks.

i have an 06 with 25,000 miles and am having the stuck clutch problem. But reverse and 1st are fine. And its only done it to me twice. Im thinking its the slave cylinder cause it only does it when i drive for a long period of time on a really hot day.
Otherwise it works just fine.

Here is what I found out: I read that it is recommended to also change the clutch master cylinder when ever you change the slave cylinder. So I plan on changing both. A local shop will be doing the repairs and they qouted me at $343.67. Here is the break down: Parts: Slave cylinder $55, Clutch master cylinder $125. Labor: $163.67. I found the parts cheaper on-line but I guess by the time you add shipping it rounds up being close to the quote I got. The worst part is that I have to wait till Friday as none of f-ing Nissan dealers have them in stock.

would it be a good time to change the stock clutch line with a steel braided one while having the cylinders replaced? I've read people recommending to do this as well as switch to a better clutch fluid that has a higher boiling temp.
i wonder if they would charge you extra labor?
