Unhappy Oil leak...

so..i just picked up my 350z today...drove it out of shop and i start to smell oil...burning oil..

as i accelerate...the oil gauge goes up to a max of 3/4 and stays steady at half when im in gear but not really accelerating...if i go into neutral the gauge drops to 1/4...is this normal???

i looked under hood..and yes i can see a puddle of oil sitting on bottom of car...and i see a few drops on floor under car...

anyone else had this? any idea what it is? just a leak? im taking it inot my nissan dealer ASAP...right now im gonna have a look myself and clean out any oil i can

will also check oil level and get back to u guys on here

P.S- other than this the car is absolutely stunning!!!! I LOVE IT!!!

my bad. let me be clear. there were some issues with the rings in the 05 anniversary and the 06 rev up motor. these issues were allegedly addressed in the 07. i just want the folk who are having issues to be in the same threads.

Maybe when it was being transported, it hit something on the oil pan and it is loose? Check the oil pan first.

might even check to see if the crush washer is present in the oil drain plug. some that reuse them or do not put them back can cause oil to leak.

Perfectly normal. The oil pump is drien by the engine so the higher the RM, the more oil flow. As rsies and falls, pressure rises and falls accordingly.

His is leaking oil, not burning it.
