Default Something is up with my rear end

I've been having my Z for a few months now and never really payed any attension to it but every time I step on the gas or at high speeds the back end feels really loose and wants to swing around. I drove my friends Z the other day and it always feels very responsive and quick and never feels like its going out of control. Not sure what it could be but it concerns me. Can anyone give me some ideas.

My mustang was doing that...thats why I sold it. Ended up being the sway bar was broken. I believe its pretty hard to break a sway though.

I'm guessing sways?

Or maybe you just have too much power and you don't know about it. Haha.

Mine was the same way in the beginning...just get a alignment w/ some toe arms and sways and you'll love it.

Done any work recently? Something might be loose in the suspension category.

I agree with everyone here. It must have something to do with your suspension (sways or alingment or both). My alignment was far off when I replaced my rear and front cambers (the toe all around). It drove fine when driving slow, but when I drove it on the freeway and changed lanes, it would shoot to one direction or another. If you're having troubles in every speed and or stop and go situation, it may be more than just the alignment.

I don't believe being a base model would have anything to do with it.

That really shouldn't matter, unless he's got hella power under the hood. I have a friend who has an 03 base model and never had that problem. Having a 235 whp (give or take) with less than that in torque and a bit of fat to the body, I find that highly unlikely.

yeah I got my hotchkis sway set on the stiffest setting for front and back. so I might bring the rear sways back to stock. Shouldn't matter in the front right? Then try to get an alignment. I have the touring not base. Running on Nitto 555 245/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear. Almost brand new. **** load of tread left.
