Assuming makes you an A.S.S. There are many manual cars that run 10 sec or less just like there are automatics.

And for Vader007, come on, pssy? I would expect that from a 16 year old learning to drive, not a veteran member of this forum.

You're right its just that those comments happen on every single auto thread and we just get so sick of it, you would think Z owners would unite and appreciate each others choices not divide by wich trans we opted to by.
I take it back.........perhaps if you would mentioned you were being sarcastic
the commentd would not have been so rough!

lol. anyways guys I have no way of making vids not to mention you would not be really able to tell anything anyways with the fact its making the trans shift harder its in the feel. nothing really to see in all honosty......as far as what it comes with is a series of springs heavier valves and ball bearings...very complete. I would also recommend buying new tranny fluid i used around 6 or 7 if i remember correctly.your converter will hold some in, so you wont lose all 11 qts

so... it was never really made clear... this is the kit that GTM and Forged use - it's $250 (but OP can get cheaper) - the reason it's 1K+ from GTM is labor...

Is this correct?

Nice... do you have any other mods?

How about for just regular driving around town, lower RPM's... is it still smooth?

Not unless you have exp in working on a auto trans before.I have 32 years in the auto repair business and still would not try this myself.I did replace my whole valvebody with a modified one which was a piece of cake.
With my greddy twins i can not chirp...... but i can spin the 1-2,2-3 and the 3-4 shifts with no problem.Yes i can chirp the gears without a problem but i spin the tires more.

Assuming from this spending the meere $250 is quite the "bang for your buck". Besides some new exterior updates, this should be one of my first new modifications to my car in 2 years, as well with the Works Bell paddle shifters!
For comparison, I have a friend with two Buick Grand-Nationals, both built and incredibly quick, his daily driver being over 700whp and his track car capable of 2200 crank HP. Either way, he upgraded his transmission (only 3 speed mind you) of course and catches every single gear faster than anyone could shift a manual.

I must admit, I never have liked the "automatic slur" noise when they shift, but with an upgraded auto with twice as quick shifts, that should need not be a problem.

To be honest though, I am still thinking of doing a 6 speed swap. Of course I would need a new instrument cluster (probably go with STACK), wiring harness for manual, ECU (would have to get a new ECU tune), tranny and clutch system plus DS from donor car....that would run around $2000-3000 that I really dont want to spend as of yet. I think for daily driving just having an upgraded auto tranny would suit just fine.

how hard can it be? i've done my own nitrous, xbox, lowering, and tranny cooler installs to name a few. how much worse can it get?

im debating between this and the gears. but i think longer gears are better for nitrous applications, specially in the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.

but i wouldnt mind some faster shifting to top off my tc upgrade.

I just hate to see someone screw up their car ya know?these transmissions are pretty tempramental.everything has to be just right.

What would a tranny shop charge for the install? Including the removal/install of the valve body?
