Default Noisy a** flywheel!!!!!

I just recently got the Jwt clutch/flywheel combo installed in my car. So much gear box chatter, its crazy! I was just wondering if there was any suggestion to quiet this problem for me. Or should i just start a search for a new flywheel?

light flywheels aren't for you then if you think it's loud.

You could raise your idle to minimize the chatter at idle (although it'll still chatter when accelerating out of low RPMs). Or you could just enjoy the improved driving experience and ignore it (my personal suggestion - after about a month you'll get used to it and wont notice it as much)

I agree. If you do decide to look into a different FW, check out the ACT prolite. That's what I'm running and it isn't even noticeable unless your on the gas under 2k rpm which is almost never.

You should have gotten a 1 piece flywheel if you were worried about noise.

No, I meant the 1 piece flywheels like ACT and JUN makes less noise than JWT. If he really wanted no noise he should have just kept it stock.

Now the noise you guys are talkin about, is it like the noise that the engine makes right before it stalls when its under like 500 rpm. Sry im just trying to understand this. Thanks

It's a rattle, not a stalling engine sound. The Z I'm in the process of buying has the Spec Super clutch and there is flywheel chatter. These are things you should find if you do any research before buying a mod. You're option is to either go back to stock or get used to the sound. It should only be at idle and really low RPMs like others have said.

I first had that bad rattling noise on nuetral. I then changed my gear oil to redline mt90. Believe it or not ; it did quiet things down. I still get that cement mixer sound below 2500 rpm but thats normal.

yep, that's why I recently went with the ACT streetlite, mainly because I couldn't find the JUN in stock anywhere...and because it's a one-piece made out of chrome-moly. mmmmmmm, chrome-moly.

So is the trade off for chatter actually worth it? How does it feel with the lighter flywheel not one of those super light wheels like an average 14lb one thanks.
