Default 350Z Redlines??

I was wandering what the different 350Z Revlimits were...

Isnt it

6500 for the VQ

7000 for the Revup

7500 for the HR

I had one guy tell me his VQ went to 6800

im pretty sure the non revup VQ35DE goes to 6800.

I remember when i did my nitrous install, i set the cut off at 6600.

BTW, all the Z motors are VQ

VQ35DE ran from 2003-2006 with two variations.....revup and non revup
2007-current is a VQ35HR

Yes i know they're all VQ..

Im researching them because im ready to get rid of my slow FWD integra in place of something more powerful and RWD..

I wouldnt mind having a Revup but from what ive read i dont think its worth the risk of the oil consumption problem.

Too much misinformation:

VQ35DE: 6600RPM
Rev-Up: 7000RPM
VQ35HR: 7500RPM

Nope. According to Nissan it's 6600RPM.

Nissan > You

The redline is 7,000 rpm for manual transmission models and 6,600 rpm for automatic transmission Z®s.

yeah they are terrible judges of RPM. i cant imagine revving to 8000 on our tachs. the 8000 mark is probly more like 9000

You have an 02-03 maxima guage cluster. 350Z gauges aren't necessarily as bad.
