350Z Air Inlet Questions
Some folks have noted that the stock 350Z airbox is a better design than the stock G35's.
I'm looking into two options;
1) Buying an aftermarket FAI or CAI (easy... just $$$)... or
2) Modifying my G35 to use a 350Z's airbox. (doesn't look easy, but would be stealthy)
I have aquired several Z airbox pictures, but now need some measurements.
What are the sizes of the airbox's air inlet and the outlet to the MAF Sensor? Also, what's the size of the air opening in the bulkhead on the grill side?
I'm still waiting for Stillen and/or Borla to build a dual catback system for the G35 Sedan... and for Technosquare or Jim Wolf to offer an ECU upgrade for the Automatics.
In the meantime I've added a 350Z air inlet duct, K&N panel filter, 350Z engine cover and Metal Matrix brake pads. My 7-wire Hyper-Ground Kit should be here soon.
