Default Got the TS ECU, Cheston!!!

I went to TS yesterday at 5 P.M. Like Cheston said, Tadashi is a really nice guy. I got the ECU flashed which took about 20 min. Like many others, I've been following all the ECU threads in this forum and always have been planning to get it.

Do I feel any more power? Honestly, I don't think there's a drastic change to feel it. It's like putting on an intake, you think you feel it, cuz you know you put it. All psychological, but as dynos have been done, i'm suppose to have a gain. What I did like was running to red line w/o the fuel cutting off on me.

My gas also seems to have gone up 1-3 mpgs. Can't really say much cuz i've driven about 100 miles since I got it, but usually it would be around 18.*...now I'm in the 20.* which is always good .

Was it worth it? Well, in my opinion it was mostly b/c if anything went wrong, the guarantee is there that TS will fix it. Tadashi also told me that when the programs is upgraded, like bugs and fixes (like many other softwares) I can go in for a free reflash for the newer ver. which is always nice. After the upgrade, Tadashi drove it around the block and he said the car pinged once. There hasn't been any problems ever since, but I will keep you guys posted if I do run into any problems.

Cheston, nice car man!!! I wanted to ask you if I was able to come by next week sometime and take a look at it when it's done? Tadashi said it would be done around that time, and invited me to go back. You just need some a kit or something hehhe.

P.S. Techtom is a well known respectable company in Japan which is always good to know. I was told by a friend who has been in the racing community for a long time.

but isnt it going to be a problem if u have to keep reflashing it. correct me if i am wrong but your ecu can only be reflashed a certain amount of times before it is fried.

Flash memory can be flashed thousands of times before it gives up. Why do you think they use flash memory in cameras, PDAs, those little key-chain USB "drives", etc.? It can be flashed many many times.

If that's the only reason, it shouldn't matter. If there are other factors, that might change the picture.
