Default Knock sensor harness

Has anyone had problems with the knock sensor harness corroding or being rubbed completely through from vibration?

If so, where did you order the harness and would you happen to know the part number?

The dealership is of no help, and somehow think that its the 800 dollar harness that they keep trying to sell me.

Ive found a harness online for the 300zx's but I have no clue if these would be compatible.

Any input?

Why not just solder new wiring in where its frayed or missing insulation, and reuse the connector (assuming its still good)?

Looking at the parts diagram, it does not seem possible to buy just the knock sensor subharness. So that $800 harness dealerships are quoting you is probably the entire engine wiring harness.
