Default Restore Engine Additive*****WARNING***

Does anybody use Restore Engine Additive(Silver Can, come in 4,6,8 cyclinder)? I just did my oil change and added a bottle of Restore into my engine and my engine is acting really weird. Unstable idle and engine chocking as if it is gonna die. Engine light came on, i read the code it it came out to be Exhaust "Cam timing advanced"(sorry forgot the code). does anybody else have problem or i should be aware of engine additive on vq??
BTW I searched,,

Restore will blow up your engine.

i believe you are suppose to put a little less oil in there since the additive takes up volume. I would not use that stuff anyways though.

Does any guru or vq expert know why restore would create critical problem on our car?? My lancer seemed be fine with it.
Once restore was pured on to our engine, it definetly creats major problems.
I wonder why???

Because your car doesn't need it?
If it ain't broke don't fix it.

i put engine restoring additive under the same category as octane booster...

the only time i have ever used it was in really old saabs that had little to no compression and it did help... slightly... but i would NEVER use it in my own car.

Yes DO NOT PUT into Z. It will F$# it up. Not Kidding. I don't even mind not doing anything, but this triggers engine light and just kills the motor.

I've got 47000 on my 06, and I don't put anything in it, unless it's necessary.

it probably messes up seals and stuff by cleaning the sludge off.

This is what happened. ON the end of the cam there is cuts in the end. When you added the restore it filled in the holes and sending that sensor up ***** creek.Replace your oil again with filter.DO not put anything in your oil.Take the cam sensors out clean them and reinstall.MAKE sure the cam ends are clean aswell.
