Hey KL-

no new updates.. my tuner is in Japan until the end of the month and he is paying PE japan a visit to figure out the 'condition' of the production and to see where business relationships are going, for they are currently 'up in the air' concerning the working relationship of Technosquare and PE.

but hopefully it is on schedule for an early October arrival in the states....

Cheston:

I read somewhere that the kit will include a fuel pressure regulator. does that mean that it will now have a return fuel line with this kit?I haven't look but I thought we had a non return fuel system. thanks CJ

Cheston,

I remember reading a remark earlier in this 10,000 entry long thread that you drove the car after it was more tuned and you seemed to be very happy with the results. I'm a layman, so please help me understand in laymen terms:

When pressing the gas pedal, did time suddenly slow down and make you say.... f..u..c...k..i...n...g... A!

Mad props for keeping us posted throughout your luckyness to work with this kit closely man! Hope that kit proves to be totally awsome & worth every penny of the 8k price cause I got my eyes on this kit only! Another quick ques, what kinda temps there in Cali did your drive the tt around for and how long? Do you think it will be okay in say 100 deg sunny days?

L8te!

Hey Justin-

well.. considering the fact that when i drove the Z, it was like 7 monthes since i last drove it.. but when i was on the gas pedal it was "whoa. this is dope".. and that was on the stock boost levels... the boost controller wasnt plugged in yet... which is also the impression Bobowah (jeff) wrote about..

i liked it, pulled quite hard after 3k all the way to redline, but i was nervous in taking it all the way up to 7100, and i think i only hit 7000 once... my tuner, who drove the higher boost setting said its a completely different feeling and was much more exciting at the higher levels...

so yea. in layman turns, he basically said "******- A."

i DO have my Z back. pretty much in stock form- just waiting for all my parts to arrive and the Z should be *finished* somewhat to my liking , most of the major mods will be completed prior to ~ Nov...

we did do hot weather testing here in California during the August monthes where the ambient temps were ~ 100+, and they did a few runs to get max oil temps... everything Technos is doing is to ensure that the TT kit is usable and driveable..

i met with representatives from Power Japan last saturday to give them some parts that were on my Z (oil return tube connections) for replication processes..

i hope just as you are, that this kit is worth the wait... there has been some drama behind the scenes that i am reluctant to post, both good and bad-- which comes down to that my own personal kit availability is questionable now, due to some administrative decisions being made from Power Japan...[even after the R&D was completed and the use of my car for three months...]-- i'll keep everyone posted on the availabliityto the public of the TT kit when it is known... please cross your fingers for me.. i might be needing forum support soon.

--cheston

edit:
to my knowledge.. there has not been any attempts for CARB certification.. Power Enterprise told me that they are not competing against any other current Turbo manufacturer and is going for a 'niche' market with the Z owners.. this is according to representatives from Power Japan....

Cheston:

I will put it this way, if they do not give you your TT after using your car for months, they lost me as a customer. Tell them their niche market just got smaller if they dont take care of people that take care of them. I consider how their treating you as a direct reflection of how they will treat future customers. Maybe they dont need my business but guess what, I dont need their product if they are going to treat you that way.

Jeff

I agree. I am very excited to see this kit come out. But if they don't make right with you, I don't see any reason why i should purchase their kit. You can tell them that too.

Hey Cheston,

Thanks for that insight! . I hope they do materialize that kit for you especially since you & your company have put so much effort in helping them re-work it for the US spec car! When you mentioned high boost w/ the tech, was that at the 7psi level that he drove it at? Fun times man, I'm looken forward to this kit along with everything worken out for u man! They gotta get you that kit so we can get your impressions!

Hey guys,

I'm glad to see the uniformity in this board and your willingness to back up a fellow board member. That being said, I hope all of you do not jump into conclusions.

There are some issues to be ironed out behind the scenes, and I hope our parent company in Japan realizes the effects of its present and future decisions.

Let's not be hasty in slamming PE. Just as you guys are waiting for answers, I am too.

Cheston and I will keep all of you posted with the latest.

We are not slamming anyone. We are consumers. If some one uses are car and that owner takes the liability of them using it for a prototype (ie blows up on dyno etc), then they need to be treated right.

I am shopping for a FI system, I am looking for performance and RELIABILTY/SERVICE. I could have purchased an ATI SC already because it gives me all the hp I want yet I am not impressed thus far with their customer service.

Just be aware all of you manufactures offering kits because how you treat people matters. That is fair and consisitant.
