trust me I have both gaskets sitting in front of me...they are not even remotely the same

nissan uses diagram #'s to identify common parts...such as gaskets. The # is not a part #, just a # to reference the diagram to a part #, and 9 times out of 10, the reference # is not even part of the part # (as is the case with these gaskets). You can see even in the picture, the collector is totally different, the gaskets are totally different

To make that manifold a true bolt on, you need the heads, the collector and the manifold. And then you have the issue of the heads from an HR not matching up to the block on the DE, sich as cooling passages, etc.

BTW....I got the gaskets because there was a time I was contemplating doing the conversion myself. I've since decided against it. If I'm going to do that much extra work, it's not going to be to just stick another stock part into the car

Ok thanks for celaring that up I have pretty much chalked up the idea Im just sticking with what I got and building it seems like the smartest move.

Revup > non rev

Torque is useless if it drops off like a rock before redline. Revups have better powerbands (broader) higher redlines (will not matter is you are building) better oil pumps, better cams, and better manifolds.

In fact, the HR is basically an evolution of the Revup.

It’s been mentioned before (here and elsewhere) that the rev-up rod bolts are stronger than standard DE… what about the rods themselves? Are the rev-up rods substantially stronger? (please no theoretical “yes because higher red line”)… I’m “assuming so” too, but I need to know for sure.

Thanks

+1 for non-rev. Boosted. Then, post pictures.
