Default third gear grinding???

ok so about 2 weeks ago, i bought a 2003 nissan 350z touring 6 speed manual with 43k miles and so far im loving the car! But yesterday night, i went out with my brother to go to the mall and everytime i went to third gear it grinded but the car still drove. the first time it did that i thought "ok i did not press the clutch all the way." So i thought i tried again when i slow down. i stopped and started on first gear, second gear, and as soon as i got to third gear the same thing happened and i knew for a fact that i pressed the clutch down so now third gear is always grinding. As a result of that, i have to go from second to fourth gear everytime. luckily i have warranty on the car
my question is does anybody know or have an idea of what is going on or what happened to third gear failing all the time?

^^ The reason you are not receiving any responses is that you describe a common problem with 2003 350z cars that is solved by installing a replacement transmission.

Please do searches here to see your solutions.

OP, welcome to the club.

The solution is to have the transmission replaced with the CD009 version.

yea sorry about that. After i posted the thread, i saw a thread that was talking about similar problems i was having with the 350z. from the looks of it, the dealership took the car to their transmission shop and they will call me daily with updates. hopefully they will be able to replace the transmission with an 009 just like the last person posted (thanks for letting me know). Hopefully i should have the car back early next week.
