ok so i bought the APS single turbo kit and it will be shipped to a shop of my buddys soon...and im going to start to buy all the rest of the things i want for the car next...
im curious, since the aps s/t/k doesent use turbo manifolds then can i run an after market header and get maybe more power out of it??? if so would the gains be worth it?
im sure the smoother flow would prolly help in some way but am i maybe looking past something?
thank you for any help in advance

You should ask this in the FI section.
I dont know about anyone running aftermarket headers with the APS single kit. However, I know those that tried it with the TN kit said there was nothing to gain by doing it. Also, these kits fit very precisely - if you go with headers and the flanges are not in the exact same spot as the manifolds, you are just asking for a nightmare trying to get the rest of the piping to line up.

i think yo would be fine as long as it would be a good quality set of headers the way the aps kit runs is the turbo stays under the car the problems with the TN AND PL KITS wasthe up pipes wrapped up under the front of the car and then the down pipe had to go back over the drive side exhaust manifold and between the fire wall but i would look into the gains of this as i know from past times removing the manifolds and putting headers on is not a fun or easy task. i would ask this in the right SECTION "FORCED INDUCTION"
It's already been proven that the stock manifolds are stronger than any other aftermarket headers available so don't waste your time. Aside from that, chances are high that the piping won't line up as well without some modifications. Save your money, time, and energy....afterall you'll more than likely have other issues...the last thing you want to do is create more work for yourself.
