VDC, SLIP, BRAKE light all on???
Well I noticed my VDC, SLIP and BRAKE light come on, and off when I start the car.
Has this ever happened to any of you guys???
It comes on and off....all 3 of them come on together.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
its a 2003 if it helps.

Check the MAF sensor plugged into your intake. It sounds like a bad connection. If that's unplugged and you start the car all the lights turn on. Not sure if that's the problem, but it's definitely a possibility. And make sure you disconnect the battery before you try again to reset everything.
"Start over," and provide a more detailed description of the problem.

Sorry about that, Im always in a rush, kinda like now.
Ok When I start my car, my VDC, SLIP and BRAKE light all come on at once, and stay on.
Sometimes it dosen't come on.
Well since all those lights are on my VDC dosent work, and when they dont come on, my VDC works.
Hope I said it better, if not, damn I suck at explaining things

That could be a number of things. I doubt brake fluid or pads typically just the brake light will come on. It sounds like a throttle body or a crank sensor take it somewhere and get it scanned.
when that happened to me, it was an electrical problem. my radar detector cord was not inserted all the way (i tap into the back of my rearview mirror for power). pushed it in and all was fine. have you installed any electrical components lately?
So yes, the fluid level CAN affect the VDC system.
My brake fluid got low due to pad wear last year and my brake light would come on under hard accel or hard braking for about a month. I didn't think too much of it until I had my SLIP, VDC off, and BRAKE lights all come on at the same time and then VDC and my ABS didn't work. As soon as I added a little fluid, the problem went away.

But serious mine started out that way to....It would be off, then I would give it gas then it would come one right when i shifted gears!!
I agree with BriGuyMax. The stability part of VDC operates by tapping the car's brakes when re-aligning to the front wheels in a skid. If the computer detects any brake problems, it disables VDC (thank goodness).

In the order of the repairs checking the fluid would be first in the number of things to check, because yes even though you doubt it all those lights do come on with low brake fluid, even more so when the fluid is colder....
I have this problem too. My ABS/SLIP/TCS lights went on immediately after turning the car on. It all started on the track when I wore my pads down to 2mm, and my fluid levels were lower than usual; 'Lower' being that it was still well within the low/max level, but not near 'max' where I usually have it.
In any case, I topped it off, installed new pads, and I still get intermittent malfunction of the ABS/SLIP/TCS. I'm thinking that the brake fluid level sensor is now bad because it has lost its calibration, and is no longer able to sense that there is enough fluid in there.
I've nearly eliminated the potential for bad wheel speed sensors because when those go bad, they usually trigger the ABS/SLIP/TCS lights after driving for a minute or so; not immediately upon twist of the key.
Anybody have a DIY fix for this problem?
