Void Warranty?
Does anyone know if an exhaust change voids any part(expect the exhaust) of a bumper to bumper warranty? Any info would be great, I just do not feel like talking to my dealer if I do not have to.

hey - what about test pipes? I know they will void my cats warranty - but what about getting my oil changed or some maintenance at the dealer and they see the pipes - are they going to report me to the authorities or something?
I am certain it doesn't as I took my G coupe with headers, exhaust, and intake to them for some rattle problems and they didn't seem to mind. You can say they were actually excited seeing a different coupe. Again, this is my Infiniti G35C and not a 350Z but Nissan = Nissan no matter which way you color the name.
I asked my dealer about this last week. I was there for my seconf interval oil change I was ready to order the NISMO headers and possibly the exhaust from them, (funny thing is they sell it!) but they insisted that I can kiss my 100k extended warranty goodbye if I put them on. The whole warranty. Not just the exhaust, not just the cats, not the headers, but the whole freakin' drivetrain warranty. Now I understand what the regulations supposedly say, but if the dealer refuses to touch your car in case something goes wrong with the internals, even if it's unrelated to the parts you put on, then effectively you've lost your warranty. What are you going to do? Spend thousands on lawyers and spend a ton of time trying to get the dealer to comply? It's not gonna happen. That's why I've shied away from putting on performance part so far.
