Default plenum spacer thickness?

im thinking of purchasing a plenum spacer and i have looked up a couple. i see that motordyne is famous in these forums. so ive seen skunk2, motordyne, and aam. they have them in 5/16 and 1/2 inches. thats what ive seen already. aam has them made of some type of metal while motordyne has them in rubber i believe. skunk2 has them the cheapest though. so should i buy motordynes(rubber) or aams(metal)? or cheaper skunk2s? and what kind of difference will it make in size? sorry but i just want to understand this. thanks.

you really need to research more... the info you have is inaccurate. All the details are in many threads (as well as on each manufacture's websites).

The relationship between spacer thickness and horsepower and torque has been discussed at length. Great reading here.
