if GTM's dyno runs w/ just test pipes are whats the norm for bolt-ons then the VHR is going to respond very well to bolt-ons. Also I would like to know if the VHR is a closed deck??? or is it still open deck like the de -HR engines?

300 hp vs 306 equals 18 whp? Wha happened from 06 to 07? I had no idea the HR was that much more powerful than the Revup.

New standards for measuring HP. The change took place between the "rev-up" and HR motors. IIRC.

Yep, correct. I think after the new standard the "300hp" revup went down to 292hp.

ok heres my question was these done on a dynojet cause a guy on 350z motoring claims that the HR motor has 245whp no matter how much i argue with him or prove to him its higher he doesnt believe me so i showed him this and he said it was probally done on a dyno jet which are inaccurate so it looks like the only way to prove to him is if these were NOT done a dynojet

i dont even know why he doesnt believe it. Like me he has a Nismo edition which has the HR motor of course you would think he would be happy to find out that it has more whp then what the guys at UpRev tuning in atlanta told him. He has a ton of mods on it and after UpRev tuned it he only had 290 whp they told him that there dyno was the most accurate

heres his mods
Injen SP1987 Cold Air Intake
Unorthadox Racing Crank Pulley
Stillen Headers
Stillen Grounding Kit (which i dont know why he did this walkert says our motors are already grounded)
Stillen Engine Damper
Stillen Front Core Support
Optima Yellow Top Battery
Fast Intentions Intimidator Polished Cat Back Exaust
Fast Intentions Polished High Flow Cats
UPRev OSIRIS Patch & Tune
GTSpec Rear Lateral Arm Brace
GTSpec Front Lower Tie Brace
GTSpec Rear Lower Tie Brace
GTSpec 4 Point Mid-Chassis Re-inforcement Brace
StopTech Stainless Steel Brake Lines for Brembo Brakes
CarboTech Brake Pads
Silicon Hoses
DashDaq Monitoring System & Datalogger

so yall mind helping me convince this guy that they were wrong i even told him the damn nissan place told me it had 260 whp
oh yea this is the dyno they used Land & Sea Dyno-Mite

Well something doesn't seem right. With all those mods he should be over 300 easy.

My car dynoed on UPREV's dynojet 261 rwhp and 230s tq. It now dynos that number in my sig with just HFCs.

These numbers make me depressed being that I just bought a 06 enth DE AT back in December for 21k + tax and warranty etc. It seems to me more and more that I need to pay off the car asap and go with a 2011/12 370z nismo or something next time around.. And MT.

Tell me about it, I still owe 10k on my 2003 Z 6speed
I didnt do my hw when I shopped around for a Z.
Not knowing about DE,uprev, or HR.
But hey for sone reason the Z has not giving me no problems in the year that I have owned it.I love my car regardless.
HR's are going to be cheap in the future anyway lol

Members will often take the 370Z for a test drive and report:

The 370Z doesn't feel any faster than my 350Z.

The 6.7 percent bump in torque is real.
To get to peak torque you have to run the motor to 7500 RPM. How many test drivers are banging gears at 7500 RPM?
