Help With Pulley system on the 350z
hey guys i need help iam planning in buying lightwieght pulleys 4 my 350z but with the liquid damper how does that work? i need help guys plzzzz
Liquid damper? Z doesn't have one.
The lightweight pulleys replace the crank pulley (which has a rubber damper) and alternately, you can replace the alternator and PS pulleys. You can choose stock size or underdrive.
Are you looking for power or show? Don't bother with the 3 pulley set, just get crank pulley if you're going for power. If you want it simple, don't do underdrive.

i want power
honestly man i wouldnt go with pulleys it just makes all your belt drivin parts spin faster so they wear faster. i would look into another option before i went with pulleys. (i had them on my 300zx and although it was an older car, all my once perfect running parts started to go out, alternator, water pump ect... it was a mess and a big mistake) just my opinion.

Get the UR Lightweight Crank pulley

It's available from several vendors here on the forum for less than the list price you see there.

Yep. The AMS pulleys that we sell are 5 pounds lighter than the OEM pulleys for the set of 3. Reducing that weight frees up horsepower, and doesn't change the speed of accessory pulleys. Stock diameter lightweight is definitelty the way to go and can use stock belts.

All the parts that went out had nothing to do with the pulleys, they were all related to worn out bearings that conincidentally went out just after the new pulleys installation.
