Default Fluid change questions...

I spent some time on my baby this weekend...following numerous threads in here I decided to change my fluids, here's what happened.

I changed my engine oil to Mobile 1 10w30, unfortunately I added 5 quarts before I measured what I drained out which only turned out to be 4 quarts...and with this semi useless dip stick it's difficult to tell if I have too much oil in her...any suggestions?

I also changed out my tranny fluid to Redline 50/50 mix of MTL and MT90, this time I measured what I drained and replaced exactly 3 quarts...but I have heard that the tranny should take 3.6 quarts...am I running low? Should I add more? There is really no way to check for proper level is there?

Plan on doing the rear this weekend...Redline 75w90 on order.

Also painted my calipers w/ G2 red (Daytona Blue Z) and applied white nissan/350z stickers...lots of time spent but looks really good.

Injen CAI should come today, to add to my engine bay which has painted engine cover, stabilizer bar and access covers as well as a grounding kit.

Next project Injen SES cat back exhaust and maybe UR pulley set.

Thanks for any advise or insight you may have...

Really can't help you on your level of fluids, can't really find anything in the manual about it. Cool that you used the 50/50 mix of Redline in the tranny. Did you get advice from anyone to use that mixture?? Cause both are kinda inbetween what is advised by Nissan, but the plain MTL might be good enough, IMO.

Dude, wish I could find how to change them, lol.

The owners manual should tell you exactlly how much fluid each component needs.

Redline tech said that the 50;50 mix is the way to go as it is the closest match to the recommended non-synthetic type.

I did the same thing about 2 months ago and switched to Redline motor oil as well as the same time.

Sounds like my thread was of use to you. Check the levels by sticking your finger in the hole and see if it is wet. If your finger feels wet then you know you did the job right.
