hooked up the z to a fancy snap on code reader cuz of an engine light. it gave me P 0300 code and said its random misfiring.
the car has a TN kit and turbo xs piggy which i thought detects misfires ?

interestingly i do not feel like the car is misfiring not even on cold mornings

how do i diagnose this problem
check the sparks n then coils?


if someone can stir me in the right direction, many thanks.

ps reset the ecu, n the car sounded very different(more growl) when i left the garage ...

 

NOt sure what your problem is, but I accidentally tried to start my car when it was running ahahahah >_< dumb moment. And my check engine light came on. I got the code checked and it was a random misfire. I reset the code and the light never came back.

It is a very common code that just about all FI'ed z's and g's have come up.Dont worry about it at all unless it is not running right.

 

drove the car today first time boosting after the ecu been cleared and sure enough the code popped up.

and yeah guess ill have to live with it, although now that its gettin warmer i will be once again motivated to work on the car
