What to do?
I received Crawford Plenum and went to install. Was doing great until I came to the part where the throttle body is to be removed. I had seen previous threads where some had tried with the wrong equipment going in, causing problems so I had purchased a nice set of metic allen sockets to make things easier. I started off great with a couple of bolts coming loose, then I hit the third and @$%&. The dang thing was so tight the bolt head completely stripped inside. At first I thought I had simply broken it loose, but upon further inspection it is hosed. So, now I am trying to think of ways to get it off and that I think I can manage, but I am more concerned about getting it back on if I get it off. Can these bolts be found at the local Auto parts store or do I need to order them from the local Nissan dealership? Sucks because I will need to hold off on installing the Crawford Plenum until I have a replacement bolt. Thanks for your help.
Well after a long night of working on this issue, I finally got eveything fixed. That bolt was on pretty damn tight. I broke 2 easy outs before finally breaking the bolt loose with a third. I was not able to find the exact same bolt, but found one the same length with the same threads, it just had a different head on it which fit without any problems. Got the Plenum installed. Well worth the money!!!
