Default Evap system question

I got into an accident a few years ago and the EVAP canister got crushed. I replaced it w/ a used one, but the CEL is still on for it. I'm guessing somewhere it's sensing a leak or whatever. How would I be able to bypass the evap sensors? Resistor or something?

i would try to fix what you have. take it all apart, and make sure it's all sealed well.

i had to make a custom evap canister to clear my exhaust... that was a pain. but it did work.

You will need what is called a smoke machine to find the leak if there is one.....most decent shops will have one.

anyone else? I found a hose w/ a split in it. Replaced that hose, performed an ECU reset, but the CEL came back on after a couple starts.

Why don't you check the code so you know what it's for? It might be totally unrelated. Even if it is an evap code, at least you'll have more of an idea of what's wrong.
