Hey guys
I was thinking of buying a use short shifter and I would like to know what do you think about it??? People who have one on their Z, do you find it too short or useless??? If I buy a use B&M short shifter, do you have an idea of what lubricant could I use when I will install it???
thanks guys for your help

I've never personaly had one. But everything i have read from those that have had one say it was a waste of money and or the aftermarket ones end up breaking. We have short shifters from the factory as it is.
If you want a shorter throw, try getting a Nismo shift ****, or something similar. Most of our shift height is due to the rediculously tall OEM shift ****.

Seriously, do a search on this topic and read up before you spend your money, and start taking apart your shift linkage. There's a reason next to no one has this mod.

I'm curious as well. Just had a Fidanza short-throw installed this past week. First one I've ever had in any car. It's supposed to be a 30% reduction in throw; I felt that was more reasonable for daily driving than the 60% reduction offered by Stillen. However, while it does work, I've noticed it is shortest from N to 1st and gradually lengthens as you climb the gears, so that shifting from 5th to 6th, as well as, N to 6th feels completely stock. Is it supposed to be this way or should it be a 30% reduction ALL the way through??
